One-price system

In the one-price system, the purchase and sales prices of imbalance energy are identical.

During an up-regulating hour, the price of imbalance energy is the up-regulating price, and during a down-regulating hour, the price of imbalance energy is the down-regulating price. If no regulations have been carried out during an hour, the price of imbalance energy is the Finnish day ahead price.

On May 22, 2023, we switched to a 15-minute imbalance settlement period, the imbalance price will be the same every quarter of an hour. Pricing for a 15-minute imbalance will be switched to later, when the price of regulating power market is determined on a 15-minute basis and intraday cross-border trading in the Nordic countries moves to a 15-minute resolution.
