The peak load capacity costs for the grid service customers were 4,65 M€. The costs are charged according to the consumption of electricity during weekdays and during the day-time hours 7.00 a.m. - 9.00 p.m. The electricity consumption was 3 281 061 MWh, which is equal to the grid service winter weekday daytime consumption invoiced. The calculated peak load capacity fee is 1,418 €/MWh.
The peak load capacity was not started in December. The demand response unit Suomenoja heat pump was partly unavailable for the peak load arrangement. Finextra reduced the compensation paid to the Suomenoja heat pump by about 7 per cent. Kanteleen Voima Oy used Haapavesi power plant unit exceptionally on 30th of November for its own needs. Finextra shall not pay the producer maintenance compensation for that day on which the power plant unit has been in the producer’s own use. Finextra reduced the compensation paid to the Haapavesi power plant by about one per cent. As defined in the Rules of Use, the Energy Authority will make the final decisions in this issue.

The calculated peak load capacity fee is 1,347 €/MWh.
The peak load capacity was not started in February. Suomenoja heat pump was partly unavailable for the peak load arrangement. Finextra reduced the compensation paid to the Suomenoja heat pump by about 11 per cent. As defined in the Rules of Use, the Energy Authority will make the final decision.

The calculated peak load capacity fee is 1,232 €/MWh.
The peak load capacity was not started in January. Suomenoja heat pump and Naantali 1 powerplant were partly unavailable for the peak load arrangement. Finextra reduced the compensation paid to the Suomenoja heat pump by about 9 per cent and to Naantali power plant about 1 per cent. As defined in the Rules of Use, the Energy Authority will make the final decisions.
Energy Authority decisions for peak load capacity outage in winter period 2017-2018
The Energy Authority has made the following capacity outage decisions for winter period: Decision for Naantali 1 powerplant for the peak load arrangement in 765/452/2018 and decision for Suomenoja heat pump for the peak load arrangement 766/452/2018. The decisions fully correspond to the fees charged by Finextra, hence the unit prices stay the same and the invoicing shall not be corrected retroactively.
